What can you plant in mid summer? All I've got for winter are leeks, is there anything else I can put in now for winter?

John's sowing and harvest chart is here
http://www.allotment-garden.org/garden-month-help/sowing-harvest-vegetable-chart.php

You'll find winter brassica plants online or in the local garden centre ;)

Not winter, but for the freezer........... I've just sowed more dwarf French beans  :)

It's  little late for Swede,  no harm in trying though,  still time for Turnips though.  Carrots and Beetroot can still be sown.

I've just received the monthly email from Seeds of Italy and they say

Quote
What to sow in July-Sep
VEG - Lettuce, Chicory, Radicchio, Swiss Chard, Spinach till October, basil, parsley, rocket, Montebianco fennel, endive, escarole, lambs lettuce till October, Broad beans - peas and Sugar Snaps till november
HERBS - borage, camomile, chervil, rosemary, rue, lemon balm, cress, dandelion, lavender, mint, marjoram, sorrel, sage, thyme.
The big season now is the
BRASSICA season till end of July or Aug so anything from Mizuna, pac choy, savoy cabbage, red cabbage, cavolo nero kale, cabbage, broccoli, cima di rapa broccoli raab, spigariello broccoli, kohl rabi and anything else in this family

Some interesting stuff there  ;)
