Have you been spying on me Kate filling my incubator up with 35 quail eggs only 4 hours after it was emptied?!!

ANHBUC, we always get a really good hatch rate with quails. And by that i mean we probably only have 1 or 2 that dont hatch. 35 sounds like fun  :D

On the plus side, they will be fully feathered at around 2 weeks old.

I lost an older one last week so i bet the other old ones wont be far behind  :(

That is what I thought, they were laying really well and it has tailed off over the last week.   :(

An incubator is a dangerous thing! It can be very hard to stop filling them when they are empty. :tongue2:

The downside of not having a broody is that you have to do all the looking after when they hatch.

Do you buy the eggs in or are they laid by yours & what do you do with all the hatchlings!!!!!!

They are from my own quails.  I will be keeping a few to keep my flock young, some will be for meat and any extras sold.
