Flubenvet how to administer with layers pellets?
« on: May 28, 2010, 17:10 »
I have bought Flubenvet and am now looking at it and wondering how I give it to my girls who live on layers pellets? The power will just drop to the bottom if I try to mix it, any suggestions? My only thought was to soak some raisins and them mix it together?

It wont- honastly. Weigh out 2kg of layers pellets. Add 1 scoop of flubenvet and mix really really well. Put the 2kg of food into an air tight container/cake tin/similar and only use the medicated food for 7 days. Depending on how many chickens you have got you may need to measure out another 2kg. Honastly, most of us use flubenvet in the food on here and have no problems with it ;)

Ok thanks, I just worried it might all be left at the bottom of my chickens grubs, I'll see how it goes. I did think about adding a drop or two of olive oil?

DONT add oil- you are keeping the food for 7 days and it wont keep that long if you add oil, it really will be fine just give it a bit of a shake each morning when you come to fill up the feeders :)
