I'm doing carrots. Don't need to do anything to the soil just protect against carrot fly (very active now) and slugs.
There are plenty of types you can plant now to go through Autumn eg Sugarsnax, Autumn King.

Can you follow garlic with leeks?  I thought as they part of the same family you wouldn't want to follow one with the other.

same year and same rotation group, so should be ok as long as you don't plant the leek in exactly the same spot that the garlic came out of :)

 :lol:  That could save time --- poulty manure pellets plus leek ..... a form of no-dig gardening  :lol: :lol:

Yes you do -- round ones will have more success than cylindrical at this time in the year  :)
