OMG! How exciting is that!!! - Make sure you relish it!
I got my first egg a couple of weeks ago, closely followed by a second chook starting to lay a week later. I now have 2 laying and 2 not laying yet so I'm waiting patiently for someone else to get the hang of this laying lark!

For me, the thrill has never really gone away, I still get a little buzz everytime I collect my girls' eggs.

I got a tiny drill bit 2 mm and drilled a hole at both ends wiggle something inside to break the yolk then put your mouth round one end and blow like mad into a bowl so you can still have scrambled egg

had it for my breafast this morning. Was a double yolk too. Was gorgeous. One of my light sussex has been pacing up and down the run and in and out of the coop all mornin. So hopefully another egg on the way. Had a soft one this mornin that had been squished.
