Petunia Question
« on: August 13, 2011, 09:26 »
My petunias in baskets and tubs have become very sad and leggy.  One or two attacked by slugs - but most flowering.  Is it worth cutting them right back to see if they will bush up and flourish again - or are they not likely to?  The reason I ask is because there are quite a lot of them. :)

Mine have done the same, they were huuuge but when we had that horrendous windy spell this week it's as if the plants have been stretched out and loads of the flowers came off and they look a bit droopy and sorry for themselves  :(

I'll be interested to see what advice is offered to rescue or perk them up a bit  :)

I'd give them a chop and a feed and hope the weather warms up a bit  :)

Mine too - just read that you cut them off to the leaf axils and they should bush out.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Fab, thanks lots. I was thinking of moving them as well as I'm having a little move round in the garden and it'll be easier if theres less of them!
