Just watched gardeners world and they went to RHS garden in DEvon where they combact slugs using an organism I think they called which eats at the slugs and leaves everything else alone. Fantastic :D I think it was a sort of eel worm they said.

They're called nematodes and are widely available.  :)

That's right. They kill this years young ones but not the big brutes. Still, it means there are less to breed next year.  :)

and they are relatively expensive at about 9 pounds for 6 weeks protection :(

For me as a lotty holder and trying to save money in all things then theres no way I could afford them.  Seems a great idea and Im sure they help, but not within the average persons pocket IMO

My blue slug pellets kill 'em dead but I always make sure that the beds are netted so that hedgehogs can't eat the slugs after.   :)
Cheese makes everything better.
