Title: Hello again :)
Post by: Casey76 on March 15, 2016, 09:01
Morning all, I thought I'd pop my head back in the door :)

After years without chickens I've taken the plunge and splashed out on an Omlet Eglu and a walk in cage - I'm going to have the poshest hen house in my village!

I still can't believe I've done it, and it was an astonishing amount of money, but sometimes the simplicity of being able to order online, and have things delivered, and of known good quality is worth paying the premium (well, for me anyway!)

I've bought an eglu cube and a 2x6m run with the anti-tunneling skirt.

The plan is to start off with a trio of layers and go from there.

I can't wait!

Sounds like an exciting start to kick the gardening year off, & by all accounts they last a long time,so money well spent. If it is in your garden too it needs to look attractive as well in my mind.

It's becoming a very, very sore subject Joyful.

The information from the courier is that it was picked up on 08 Apr, with a target delivery date of 12 Apr.  Latest tracking information there is available is that it was offloaded in Lille at 12:30 on 11 Apr.  Now it's only a 6hr drive from Lille to me, so one may think that it would have arrived on it's projected date... hence I worked from home yesterday but noooooo, no sign of it.  I've had to come to the office today as I have an important f2f meeting, so you can probably guarantee it will arrive while I'm not in.

I expect it's coming on a pallet, so if I'm not in I have no idea how I can collect it from any depot it will be sent to :/
