I like Briggs engines.
Simple, easy to fix, and you can still ges most bits even years after they stop producing the models. ;)

Put new plug in, rewound the starter cord but it does not seem to be getting fuel to the plug.

Did you pull out the choke? in case you didn't, it's shown next to the fuel filler cap in picture four.
This is a common problem with these engines, as the fuel has to be "sucked up" from the tank, it's very important that the fuel diaphragm (if fitted) is in good condition, and fuel pick up pipes are as clean as they can be.
The only way to clean the pipes are to strip the carb and tank from the engine and disassemble. Replace the gaskets as a matter of course seeing as the exhaust is so close to any spillages!

that looks about right, should read as model, type and code numbers.
It's always best to take them all with you to the spares supplier.

Is the rotovator made by Briggs and Stratton or just the engine.  ???

I could not get it going so took it to our man that does our training and used to teach all kinds of machines at Hadlow college.  he done the points and we was getting a super spark still no joy had the carb apart and cleaned still no joy. So he took the engine off and has taken it away.

It was like going back to school when he was working telling me what does what, how and why waiting for a phone call next to find out what's what i am in no rush for it so it might be some time.
