Wish me luck - finished with pictures
« on: March 25, 2008, 12:09 »
I'm going to go out and extend my chicken run today and repair all the thing that have fallen off my supposedly 'posh' chicken arch - its c**p! :x  :?  I've never done anything like this before and i've just brought a jigsaw for £20 from asda to speed the job along.

As the title say's  . . . . Wish me luck!

I'll post pictures for you to laugh at later!
1 x hubby
2 x daughters
3 x chickens
1 x bunny
6 x african snails  . . . . . and counting.

Best of luck. You can't beat a good power tool to get a job done.

Don't worry about looks. Just go for strength and practicality.

I've got to do the same thing soon.

Right i'm finished!

And here is the finished masterpiece!

It's 120x190x90 (WLH) and i've made a drop down side so i can shovel bark chips in and out easily.  With the old run at the end it means they have just under 4 square metres of run space! (makes me feel a little less guilty when they're in  :? )

Go on laugh if you must ... . . . . . . . . . But i'm really proud of it - i know it's really simple but i've never done anything like this before!!! Hubby has been working 12 hour shifts all week so i did it all completely on my own - attaching the door  hinges was a little tricky but a LOT of swearing and its finished.

There's nothing wrong with that !!

Be proud of yourself. And the foul (not fowl) language is actually compulsory.

Well done. Your chickens must be proud of you too.  :)

...but leave him something to be manly about.

We get very insecure when we no longer have anything to fix or drill a hole in.

Just secretly improve what he's done when he's not there !
