I cant believe my bad luck i went up to another one of the fields i rent and found the silkie house open and one of my girl beared silkies gone, there is no way that the house could open on its own, no sign of any animal activity, the other group of 7 are still there and no stressed. A public footpath runs along side the field and i can only guess that someone has seen them free ranging in the next door field and taken a fancy to her. why cant people leave other peoples birds alone, i hatch this one and she is just going to come into lay soon.

Oh Vicky I am so sorry to hear that, one of your lovely little silkies too!

That's the only problem with them being on 'show'!  All of ours are hidden behind high fences and even higher conifers!
