Our chicks are now 6 weeks old, times flown by and today as I did my usual swooning over how beautiful and funny the lavender poots are I noticed 2 had combs

they also like to chest barge each other

Now, if it stays at 2 out of 8 I'll be very happy but we all know how the percentages go

My two 9-week-old chicks chest barge each other and one has already started to crow

Here's hoping that the other chick is a hen

Our 3 chicks chest barged and jupmed at each other last year - promised one to a frind who wanted a cockerel......3 hens!!!
Not sure what our 2 are this year - hoping for girls as they are lovely colours.. they are chest barging too but I will wait to decide this time.

It would be nice if they were hens but I'm not counting on it

our Lemon Millefleur Sablepoots were obviously male and female by 8 weeks
