Title: Work in Progress - with a Question ?
Post by: mrs bouquet on September 01, 2018, 08:31
The Wisteria has GONE !  I have removed it down to the ground, and put stump killer into the root.  I also have removed all the half-rotten trellis and most of the cross beams.   It is remarkable how different the garden looks.
My question is :-  the upright posts have lots of screw holes in them - What is the best thing to fill them with to prepare them for painting.   I am going to paint the uprights Black.  -  Thank you, Mrs Bouquet

Well done Mrs. B!

I'd use a filler (decorator's caulk or frame sealant - either would do the job and would be weatherproof when completely dry and then painted over.) Available in tubes or cartridges.

Pretty cheap and easy to use, especially the acrylic ones which you can wash off your hands with water before it dries, although you might not be as messy a worker as I am!  ;)

Messy - who me - if it can be broken, spilt, dropped, tipped, and all the rest - that's me   ;) ;)  Mrs Bouquet
