Hi Every one
I have asked about using a tiller,the way i dug my garden,was with a full size digging hoe,because of my wonky gone wrong hip replacement,i cannot use the usual fork or spade,so i use a hoe,for me this worked i can use this all day,as i swing it hard it goes in well,there was loads of nettles docks,and mint roots,i dug all these out,broke the soil lumps up,its hard graft but the results are great,there is still 1 area still to attack,but i wanted to get some ting planted.
 so now i have dug the ground will i still need a tiller?

I would like to thank every one for the time telling me about the mantis tiller,i have just recieved the info pack.
The way i have dug my veg patch,i used a large digging hoe,there was 15yrs worth of nettle,docks and mint roots,because of a wonky fitted hip replacement i cannot use a fork or spade,so this was hard work but i can swing a how better than digging with a fork,once this is done will the tiller do it better?.

You may well be able to get away without buying a tiller, Lilli.

It sounds to me that your enthusiasm beats all, so I'd save your cash, and just clonk the lumps a few times more, then hit it all with a rake, and you'll be fine - and so will the soil!

Take a bit of time each session, plan ahead (like what you want to plant/sow) and you'll be just fine!

i would see if you could borrow one first to see if it does what you want it to and if you can use it with your hip.
