bye bye Charlotte

We lost one of our x bats last night, she seemed to of decided thats it I am off to chook heaven.
Charlotte came to us on boxing day when I got the phone call asking why is the chicken crossing the road?
It turns out she had escaped from somewhere but we couldn't find out where so we took her her in, warmed her up and gradually introduced her to the others, she had a good 8 months with us enjoying being a chicken.
Here she is Boxing day enjoying a bowl of warm layers porridge....

Really sorry to hear your news Aidy  :(. At least she went quickly without suffering. Good on you for taking her in & giving her a great 8 months.

You gave her a wonderful home and she was content.  You have no idea how old she was and I think it must have been just her time.  So sorry for your loss.   :(
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

I'm sure she appreciated her time living with you.

She looked in brilliant condition for an ex bat.

Well done for looking after her when she needed it.  Sure she had a lovely 8 months, what more could you ask for in your last few months.
