ive just been thinking, is my new enclosure big enough,i have not put the mesh on yet so if it was not i would make it bigger, its 12 ft long by 8 foot wide. i intend to have 6 warren browns(thanks to my chicken keeping neighbour) will this be enough space.

that works out at 8.6m sq -which is OK, for 6 medium hens, it is recommended that runs are 1msq as an absolute minimum, if you can make it a little larger  at this stage, if able, then it would certainly help with husbandry and reducing behavioural problems.

awsome, thanks foxy, i have added an additional 5 foot to the length and 3 foot to the width, it is now 17 foot long and 11 foot wide, thats really as much space as i can use now. any more and the mrs would have to loose her raised strawberry bed and i dont want to be going there lol

I am sure they will reward you with many eggs and some lovely manure to enrich the strawberry bed!
