Title: dahlias

my dahlias are just showing shoots in a tray about 5 inches deep should i plant them out of the tray into there permanent plot or pot them on in pots addvice please    ps  what is the best fertilizer for them? this is my first year growing them

Stan, I would sat that it's far too early to put dahlias outside ,you need to wait 'til there is no frost risk. Your profile doesn't state where you are, but mine don't go out until mid may so pot yours on and keep frost protected. I feed my planting hole a handful of chicken pellets and a sprinkle of BF&B.

cheers brian will do that i am in warrington cheshire ps it took mine about 4 weeks to sprout is that normal (in the shed}
