Went to get a sack of chicken feed, gone up 40p :ohmy:
Called into local GC to get another bottle of Maxicrop.... Gone up £1 in less than a month :ohmy:
Is this covid?? seems a little excessive to me, maybe I been married to me Yorkie lass for too long :D
At least the subs on the plot are the same as last year :lol:

Aunt Sally, I was on a rugby tour to The Hague that weekend, and so had to battle with a) a headache, b) a change from pounds shillings and pence to guilders, and c) a change from both sorts of money to pounds and pence, all in seventy-two hours!
I still have a box of matches and a tin which used to hold those fabulous long cigars, much loved by TV detectives way back then...
Hardly chicken feed. I know, but a story about the big change, nevertheless!

I’m finding lots of things are going up on a weekly basis :wub: as for decimalisation day, I remember it well, I was finishing junior school that year, so had just been taught pounds,shillings & pence & we had to have lessons on decimalisation! Those lessons got increasingly more frequent as d day got nearer. I too converted everything back for a long time & still do sometimes lol

I think Maxicrop is owned by a French company, maybe brexit means they can't collect british seaweed anymore and you're paying for their seaweed being stuck in a lorry park in Kent!

I was 14 back in '71. I earned a few dollars here and there, cutting grass and trimming hedges for my neighbors back then.

I was 12 and had spent most of my schooling under the old system. It was a shock.

we don't use Maxicrop we use a local organic English company who sells organic liquid feed at a local farm shop its as good if not better than Maxic...p none of there lorries waiting in Kent :lol:
