Lucylike, as Hoodsie mentioned I too grew Burpees Golden this year and it wasn't worth the effort, they are a little eratic at germination and they didn't taste any better for the effort, try Chioggia instead if you haven't already, these are really good at roasting and seem to store very well. The only new variety for me this year is crystal apple cucumbers, one of the lads grew them last year and gave me some and they were really nice. The herb patch will be new for me this year too, instead of dropping them here and there I have a patch set aside now for them.

Just a couple of ideas to dd to your oddball list. If you like the idea of large raddish, why not try a row of Mooli? White Indian radish, it is not as hot as you might imagine, but is a lovely root to eat raw. Also Kohl Rabbi: A member of the cabbage family, the swollen stem is a very subtle and tasty salad item. Eat off the plot raw with a pastrami  sarnie? Stunning! Sliced in a salad? Stunning rabbit's wedding breakfast.
