56kgs of grapes pressed.

Well we've picked the grapes...120 kgs in total, we pressed 56kgs yesterday which gave us 36lts of must. The rest are in the freezer ready for another day.

You can just throw the grapes into the crusher and then fish the stems out, but we found it better to just pick the grapes, which came off easy.



This is our very first go at making  a grape wine other than with kits......fingers crossed.

No, their off a friends vine at the allotments. He has a number of vines about 33 yards. I do have a couple of vines  in pots to plant out soon.

Good effort Capt, that's a lot of grapes to press  :blink:  Do you know what kind they are?  I hope the wine turns out excellent.
