Almost two ton of the darkest, crumbliest topsoil you could ever wish for. All for free and all for my new garden and raised beds.

Just had to tell someone and you lot are ther only ones that would appreciate how exciting this is.

I'm a very happy bunny tonight, so don't spoil it by doing norty things on the forum.

I'll have you lot know that everyone around here loves me.

My brother has a building business and sent two grab trucks round full to the brim. He's clearing a garden close by that has over four foot of topsoil. Mine has a yellow clay pan just below the surface.

I'm just a little hurt by all these allusions to my being a bit 'ard.

We can't get vehicles onto our site so everything has to be wheelbarrowed and it's difficult uneven ground

I'm just building a large raised bed 16" deep and it will take over a ton and a half of soil to fill it

A few nice people have offered me the contents of their compost bins

Funnily enough a neighbour up the road is advertising free topsoil - but i don't need any at the mo - raised beds for the waterlogged bit are planned for NEXT year, not this!!
