Drones, does anybody here fly them?

If so... are you registered with CAA etc.
I am thinking of purchasing one and was told you need to be registered, however there seems to be a little conflict with the rules  (nothing new there with powers that be) One sectionsays "all drones require to registered" then a little bit later it says "drones weighing more than 250g need to be registered"
So am I reading this wrong? Is it ALL or just those over 250g?
Cheers in advance for any help.

Probably not interested in the small stuff till you commit  an offence but the bigger stuff that could be hazardous or weaponised needs a license.
We are a no drone area around here unless you have applied and got permission for a single use event !
Far too many LPG ships and storage tanks around here !

I’m not an expert but my understanding was light drones were exempt.

I have a small drone that falls under the weight limit and does not have to be registered. It's also great fun to fly :)

Cheers for that. Seems a simple enough registration.
The I have now ordered weighs in at 440g so comes under the weight bit, will have a propper look at the registration which I belive is going to change in December anyway

A licence is needed for drones over 250g: https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/uk-drone-laws-where-can-and-cant-you-fly-your-drone
Bonjour Madam, hope all is well with you. There is a little typical contradictory sentences in the rules n regs etc.
I have spoken to someone who is high up in the model aircraft hobby, after his advice I have taken and passed (all be it a complete waste of time and a joke) the CAA operator theory test so I am now licensed.

Hello got the drone out of the tree very carefully with a rope and wolf branch hook fastened to it ,the man who owned it just messaged me to say that it was working till his cat attacked it and wrecked it and he's just passed his on line test he said theres no mention of a cat attack on it    jezza
