Hi all
I haven’t really used pellets or fish, blood and bone before as I’m not sure if the best way to use them. Should they be sprinkled on the soil around plants, mixed in with compost or put in bottom of hole when playing out?
Also if I use them on garden plot, do they attract rats and/or foxes?
I would be grateful for all advice

I sprinkle fish, blood & bone, through composts for plants not seeds, around garden plants,then raked in, and also prior to planting/sowing vegetables,usually a week or two before. Chicken pellets I add to a planting hole for permanent plants and heavy feeder for veg, or again rake in a week or two before planting veg out. I’d only use it through compost if I was reinvigorating used compost or on heavy feeders I.E tomatoes in pots. I’ve not had experience of foxes or rats being a problem on the allotment beds, but I know of others that say it can be an issue with attracting them.

If you use BFB when planting something in a hole I sprinkle some in and around the hole then scruffle it into the soil so the bare roots don't come into contact with a big amount.

I do the same as Goosegirl, sprinkle in the planting hole and rough up
