Planting out Peas (Oasis Variety)
« on: April 23, 2010, 09:01 »
Hi All,

I sowed some peas seeds a few weeks back and the plants are now about 5" tall and have lots of healthy leaves!

They come outside during sunny days with me but when should I plant them out?  ???

Many Thanks!

Hello Cabbagepatch :)
I don't know where abouts in the country you are (if you can put a location in your profile it makes it easier to give this kind of advice :) )

so all I can say is that mine, in Kent were sown direct in the soil in March and are growing well. It is hard to be specific, but unless you are in the 'frozen north' I would think you could plant them now, once they are hardened off.

Thankyou for your reply!

I am just outside Brighton down on the coast! Have mixed a nice bit of compost beneath the homemade wig-wam i have built for the peas to grow up!

All this nice weather makes it all the more tempting to plant out!
