Hi, how long do leeks take to germinate? I've had them in a cat litter tray for at least three weeks on a window cill. The previous ones that I did a couple of months ago, came up fine.  I'm beginning to think that I may have forgotten to put the seed in! I do them at work so that there is a small chance a customer came in just as I was about to sow them. Is it too late to sow some more?

Mine took 10 days on a warm windowsill.

It's probably a bit late to grow them to full size but you are in one of the warmer parts of the country - small leeks are better than no leeks if you really like them and baby leeks are very trendy of course!

Mine haven't appeared either and they have been in the same amount of time, problem being I have no excuse or customer to blame.

Does three children and being pregnant count

I will have to try that!  At least I have a few on the go anyway. Thank you for your replies. I will leave them for another week but I think I am kidding myself.

Mine took about 10 days outside in seed modules covered by plastic sheeting.

Mine took 8 days in the unheated greenhouse (that was only 3 weeks ago mind, so was lovely and warm in there during the day)
