Chicken Pluckers
« on: March 06, 2011, 10:04 »
Hi everyone,
Been ages since i last posted on here, which can only be a good thing in as much as i have had a very peaceful few months with everything doing ok.
Does or has any one used one of these Whizzbang pluckers? Are they any good? thinking of investing in one, but they are quiet expensive, so want to get Other peoples views before i rush out and get one
Dont count ya chickens till they hatch!!!!!

Ask Grannie Annie about them  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

Why me Joy?  :(    I've never heard of them, but looking on the internet, the whizbang seems to be homemade jobby.

Have you got a link Nails?  We bought a £350 wet plucker 3 years ago which Brian never used as he doesn't like wet plucking because of the quality we want in our meat birds, but they are okay for home users.

Our dry plucking machine was £2,000, is a very good dry plucker, but I can't get on with it, especially for turkeys.

just know that you had experience on pluckers  :).
Somewhere on here I did a link for plucking and gutting and on there there was a home made plucker - will see if I can find it  :D
