Asparagus Pea question.
« on: July 18, 2007, 19:33 »
Have just grown these on the lottie for the first time. Very easy to grow and also quite attractive and the slugs have left well alone which is always a bonus. Have cooked some in the classic way - lightly steamed for a few minutes. Does anyone know of any other way of cooking them and what they may go well with. Can they be added to stir fries for example?

In the chiltern seed cat., (which I de3arly love for information and humour!) does say that they are inferior to asparagus but can be used in the same way, i.e. as an horses duvet with melted garlic butter, or used in stir fries etc.  Do you think the flavour is good enough to buy again? :?:
I know less today than I did yesterday, and I knew nothing then!
