I'v often wondered if they are any good but what put's me off is there are about a dozen of these on various plots on our site and they are all stuck at the back of the plots unused and covered in brambles. :?

Will be interested to know how you get on with your DIY ones.

Years ago we owned a Nursery which specialised in growing and selling in rare & unsual perennials. We owned two compost tumblers of a particular brand (Suttons) and had them working non-stop, 24/7. We used them for compost for the display gardens, making organic seed mix and potting mix, etc. Every 14 days we got barrow loads of wonderful compost. Used correctly, they definitely do work!
I'm currently hoping to buy one on an auction site here this evening.
