Hi
i am new to the forum but have had backyard hens for about 10 years having raised many chicks under a broody hen, a mixture of all types. from Pekin to Brahma
i always had a lovely lady in a local small holding that would look after any unwanted roo's that i ended up with. as i live in an urban area of Sheffield
unfortunately she no long has the small holding.
so long story short i am trying to find a home for Eric,
He is a 15 week old i believe he is a Red or Amber Star - not sure which
he has been brought up with 4 Brahma pullets under a broody bantie (now they are all at least twice the size of mum).
he is friendly to people, will eat out of your hand and inquisitive but i need to find him a new home as i have neighbours to consider and i am concerned about potential noise problems
does anyone know of or have any allotments in the south yorkshire region. happy to give him free to a good home and willing to drop him off.
many thanks
ian

He’s a lovely bird!
I hope you find him a home. BUT... allotment holders are not usually permitted to keep cock birds as of right.
Someone out there who has private land may see your post . I’ve altered you forum profile so that they can send you a personal message.
