Evening all again, just tout I would throw up some pics for you all ::)

The first 2 pictures are of the grafter pepper plant, again this looks as if it's doing well, it's grown around a third in under 2 weeks. The tomato is growing faster.

Next 2 pics are the sprouts, does these look a bit leggy ? Should I plant these out?

Same with the cabbage,

The corn is looking ok I think (first grow) do these look ok? When should they go out?

Any tips, advice or questions welcome

Thanks

Sprouts and cabbage will be fine outside - I'd harden them off (bring them back indoors for a week or so at night), then grow them on a little outdoors before planting them into final positions.

Sweetcorn is not hardy and can't go out until start of June.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

The sprouts need thinning out till there is only 1 plant per module, similar thing for the cabbage, really- they want pricking out into modules or wider spacing in a seed tray.
Then leave to grow on 'til they have 4 or 5 leaves when you can plant them out.

My take would be to harden off the brassicas as Yorkie says, (yes they do look a bit leggy) and then pot them on, burying them up to the seed leaf.

Let them grow a bit before planting them out, they're too small for that.

You're going to have a bit of a problem with the sweetcorn. You've started them very early and they are going to need bigger pots before it's time to put them out. They hate root disturbance, but it looks as though this is going to be unavoidable.

If I were you, as carefully as you can, get them into bigger pots as soon as possible.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I have plenty of pots so would it be advisable to pot on the cabbage and corn? Should I scrap the corn and re plant later? Would corn usually be sown direct then?

I'm a bit further south than you and have only just started my corn off.

You may get away with it, it depends on the weather in the next 6 weeks or so. I'd hedge my bets and sow a few more in a week or so.

Let's see how it goes

Did you sow your brassicas (cabbage, sprouts) inside? They don't mind the cold.
I sow mine outside in seed trays but they're tucked away round the sheltered, sunny side of the house. That way they grow strongly and don't need hardening off. My sprouts are about as big as yours (sown about 5 weeks ago and now transplanted to 3" pots) but more stocky.

Hi yes, did sow these indie. Thought that was best at the time but do have lots of shelter so should have sown them out, never mind. May stick them out for the day tommorow
