Mountfield m1 monarch

Hi. I've just acquired a mountfield rotavator and need some help identifying the engine and finding some parts. I've attached some pics and would appreciate your help. Thanks

It is a Briggs & Stratton made June 1978 but the first digit of the model number doesn't show up well on the picture, that is the engine size in cubic inches I would guess at 8. That model number and the code, is needed for buying spares. Both parts and Instruction books used to be on the B & S website, don't know if they still are.

Hello try looking on Briggs Bits web site put the Model and Type in and itll take you to the specific engine model you'll have to scroll through to find the right number then click on the number and it brings a parts diagram up for that particular engine ,the listings go back to the late 1960s ,found the prices very reasonable    jezza
