Hi All.
 Not posted on here for a while but look in now and again. I increased my flock  8 weeks ago and one of the new hens has developed wry neck she is about 22 weeks old.  Has anyone else experienced this and what treatment if any was successful. I have isolated her as she was getting bullied and this could have caused it.

I experienced it for the first time with a home bred pullet, who developed it @ about 9 weeks. According to Gail Damerow, Chicken Health Handbook, it is a recessive genetic condition, and presents as they grow. She does not suggest any treatment works (though the web has much well-intentioned advice about long haul tlc and treatment involving vit e and selenium supplements). The condition obviously distresses the affected bird, and if they are bullied and need separation that's an additional source of pain, and I would (and did) cull.

Hi Perris. Thanks for the reply. I googled looking for advice and vitamins b1and E were suggested as being a treatment. I obtained these this morning and have started treating her. I will see how it goes and give her every chance. She is eating and drinking and can look normal then back to neck problem. I made an 8 hour round trip to pick up the Araucanas and the least I can do is give her every chance of pulling through. Your a long time dead. Thanks again.
