lame chook
« on: June 12, 2011, 16:47 »
We've adopted three eight-week-old hens from a friend who asked us to take them sooner than we'd planned because one of them has a gammy leg, it sticks out at her side & she was getting stepped on by her sisters as they grew - I think there were nine altogether. She's smaller than the other two, but they don't bully or peck her.  Hopefully having a lot more room will be enough for her to flourish, but if anyone has any advice/tips on how to keep her healthy & happy I'd be very grateful.  :)
