are still roosting in the tree and it's blizzarding.  I was expecting them to have gone into one of the empty coops, but nooooo.  I only hope they are not frozen by morning!

Did they come in?   or are they chicksickles now?

No chickensicles, but the cockerel was still up the tree at 8am this morning looking particularly preturbed, and the brahmas showed much sense and didn't even peek out of their coop when I opened the door for them!

As they were summer hatched, this is the first time any of them have seen snow, and so far they a ARE NOT impressed lol!

The pullets had made their way onto the covered terrace (menaces), but I'll let them off for today.

I guess I'll have to get my mash bowl out, as the snow is forcast for at least another week here!

all mine are still in the trees as well Casey  , so warm porridge was offered at 7 this morning

I think they like being out in the open   My pekins have loads of nooks and crannies to nest in at night.... they have an old tackroom all set out with perches..... all the mod cons....

But they all sleep out in the open on top of the hutches and coops.... pooing all over the tops of them.....

It really is so ungrateful
