Sour crop can be a fungal infection.  See if you can get any nystatin drops from your vet :)

She seems quite alert this morning. I mixed a small amount of layers mash with boiling water from the kettle and let it soak in and then added some bio yogurt. I shall go and see if she's eaten it all in a mo. I've put ACV in her water and I saw her drinking a lot last night. I have renewed that this morning so fingers crossed she's a bit better. I have not checked her crop yet to see if it is still squishy and fluid filled. I should have done so before offering her the food. Doh!

I know that feeling, I've just given mine Tuna as the husband was away and couldn't moan, but I'd probably also lay off the processed products like cake or biscuits.

Might try water melon when the weather warms up again.  :D

She went off colour again and ctop still squishy.  I emptied her crop again and it was full of gunk. She was moving her neck in an exaggerated fashion too. Looks like the vet for her tomorrow as I fear she has something stuck

She was fine the following morning and was very perky yesterday.  I spent ages doing a full clean of the coop and run so was able to observe her for quite a time. She seemed back to normal. This morning too she is up and about and eating her pellets so hopefully she is cured  :)

My hen appeared well but I found her this morning in a sorry state and when I picked her up loads of mucousy gunk came spewing out of her mouth  :(

I took her straight to the vet. He prescribed baytril. She's had her first dose and when I got her home she ate some layers pellets straight away. She obviously felt better for getting rid of the stuff in her crop

He did say she didn't have anything stuck as far as he could tell

So, I thought she was over the sour crop two weeks ago.  Just shows how wrong one can be  :(
