Title: A newby Chicken owner saying Hello

Hi All,
I am new to Chicken keeping can i just say a big HELLO to all you Chicken owners what a fantastic site this is i have just bought 3xLohamm Brown Hens 7 mons old. I had them Sunday and had my first egg yesterday i felt very proud of that first egg i thought they must be happy Hens  :) I wish i had done this years ago but never had the room or the guts to actually do it  :blush: i will be picking a few brains on here for info and advice you have been warned  ;)

Hi and welcome to the group. 

Hens are great fun and you will find lots of good folk on here  :D

I hope you have plenty of time to stand and watch, because that's what you will end up doing. They will bring you such pleasure and the eggs are just a bonus.
However: on the down side, they will turn you into a person that talks to chickens. Friends will avoid you because you will talk about your chickens and expect them to be just as fascinated by their antics as you are.::)

Thanks for the welcomes i meant to say Lohmann doh  :blush: and yes its started i'm talking to them already my grandson 8yrs has named them Deirdre,Dollop and Daisey  ::)

Welcome to the site and glad your chook has layed. This is a fab site i have asked loads of questions and have had loads of help since i had my first girls august :) :)
