Runner Beans - Bendy or Snappy?

Hi,

To avoid stringy runner beans is best to pick ones that bend or ones that snap?

If they snap in two with a clean break - there's no strings!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Some beans are advertised as stringless but probably aren't if you leave them on too long. Just pick a medium one, snap it in two and see if there's any strings attached to them.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
