Post by: Thatcherschild on March 10, 2011, 20:01
I've a new coop arriving next week and been advised to treat the wood with an animal friendly preservative. Can anyone recommend one for me?

Many thanks:)

Hello fellow newbie,

You will gets so much help and info from this friendly site like I have.

In response to your question, I have used Cuprinol for both my rabbit hutch and chicken coop. The 'Heritage' shades are particularly nice and their website does state that it is animal friendly.
I have also used it on a budget shed and the only part that suffered from rot was the bit I forgot to treat (some 10yrs ago)!

Regards,
 Emma
