Oh - wow!!! How lovely and so nice to see a bit of bright colour too, especially the yellow ones - so cheerful in this "summer" - well done you! ;)
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Go on then  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

The pink is such a nice hot shade. Can't remember if cacti are like sempervivems and the flowering section then dies off.

My 10 year old lad has said he would like a cactus, how easy/difficult are they? His bedroom only has sun late afternoon.

Our Cacti thrive in late afternoon sun, however only a few flower.  I wouldn't recommend an opuntia very easy to rot, and I'm not usually keen on a lot the shops stock. I've found generally the quality and price of some of the bare rooted ones from eBay are ideal.

We have some really quite expensive ones, but some of the cheapo ones are good and get commented on a lot.  I love an aeonium but they may be a little girly.  Hubby loves haworthia.

There is one that we have that everyone loves and we can't kill no matter how much we neglect it though:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tephrocactus-articulatus-v-diadematus-/140781559851?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Garden_PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN&hash=item20c73c202b

Cuttings of this are really easy to take too - we let our "mother" plant grow a few heads and then snaped them off and potted them on and all of them took with no rot

Cacti don't but Agaves which are succulents do.

Not difficult and it's hopw I started. They could do with more sun but that's better than nothing. Suggest Mammillaria or Rebutia rather than Opuntia though. Opuntias can be nasty to handle and may not flower until quite old (and big).

Give them a nice gritty compost, only water once they have dried out and give an occasional general feed. Keep them dry in winter.
