red mite and louse powder
« on: June 04, 2009, 15:28 »
Ive just got these through the post this morning, now do not fancy catching the birds and putting it on myself so i have heard people saying they put some in the birds dust baths.   I was wondering can i mix a bit of both and sprinkle it in there dust bath, is that a sufficient way of getting it onto the birds without causing a hassel as im not that confident around them yet but we are getting there.        Nicky

just done mine today for the first time , chickens were crawling with lice or mites . just put old clothes on its quite easy to powder the hens but you will also get a good dusting yourself , remember the whole shed must also be treated for the mites . happy itching
