Anybody got a hat I can borrow?  My youngest daughter got engaged today but no plans for the actual wedding.  They've been together for ten years and have Madame to show for it (our name for her as at 5 years old she acts like a 25 year old and loves telling her Grandad off). A lovely solitaire diamond set in a platinum band to show for it.

Ooh lovely, how exciting. Our daughter & her partner are getting married in July, not sure I’ll be wearing a hat as it won’t be a very traditional wedding as they’re not a very traditional couple, I’ve been told to wear what I want & am comfortable in, but I do love a wedding hat

First of all, thank you Aunty for the offer of the loan of your spare hat, not sure what to wear with it though.    I don't know what kind of wedding it will be either, I can't see it happening  in a Church.  Oh well, I expect I'll find out in time.

Oh good God no! I hope that was a joke, they bad enough in the 70s with everybody's lumps & bumps showing, all the girls/young women would be on starvation diets, once they looked at themselves in a mirror
