What’s for tea 2023
« on: January 01, 2023, 09:24 »
Tonight we are having some leftover chicken in a tomato based stew.  I’m defrosting some cooked mixed beans from the freezer (borlotti and various others) to go into it.

I can’t decide yet whether it is going with rice or mash though

Back to pasta tonight, plenty of milk so probably a cheese sauce, might as well dump some tuna, peppers and sweetcorn in there too.

My freezer surprise appears to be beef in gravy. Mash and chunky mixed veg to go with it. It feels a bit of waste of good food to be honest, but I can't think of what else to do tonight.

Christmas ham ftf in a mustard sauce with roast potatoes & parsnip, carrots, broccoli & French beans ftf, but they weren’t very nice tbh, will try them dropped in boiling water next time rather than steamed. Fruit & yogurt for me for pud, don’t know what himself had I was otherwise engaged

He's not still in the dog house over the curry incident is he ?

Leftovers tonight, change of veg as I have found a cabbage I thought was a lettuce and put in the salad drawer.

I've put some mince, spices, red peppers, tomatoes and onions into the slow cooker, and added some lentils to stretch it a bit. I'll see if I fancy rice or a nuked spud later.

No , I was just upstairs doing stuff & then had a bath & when I got back down he’d had something .

Tonight he’s made a pressure cooker turkey stew from the turkey leg we got “free” with our turkey crown (daughter had the other one  :) )
