Why does it seem to last about three months?

We^'re nearly there. Not been the worst start to the year. Mild for the most of it. I think what got everyone down last year was the dreary, grey, rainy soggy winter we had. This year we have had lots of sunny though cold days. Already done lots in garden in readiness for next month. Keep smiling its just along a bit further.  :D :D

I agree.   I think, for myself, as soon as Christmas is over, right thats it now its January,   which of course it isn't.  Also January has 31 days anyway.   It gets dark early, Christmas Fever is over.   So It does seem like 3 months and there is still 4 more days to go  ::) ::)
But my Mum always said, 'don't wish your life away'      :nowink:  Mrs Bouquet

Not the case for me been on the plot every opportunity and still lots to be done fortunately the days are staying lighter longer so that helps. Have ordered lights for new shed so should be able to stay a little longer.

I'm sort of ok with January but February really gets to me mood-wise.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

It is not that bad. Evenings are now getting  noticeably lighter, and it is not long until Spring. What seems to take forever is the weather to warm up when Spring does arrive, there is a big lag between the clocks going forward and warm sunny weather. Hopefully Easter might deliver some nice weather with it being late this year.
