Chain sizes are measured in three ways, the pitch is the distance from the centre of one roller to the centre of the next, the roller diameter is also required, as is the distance between the inside plates. Almost all chain sizes are available from local engineers merchants such as Brammer Ltd or Eriks. If you can’t measure accurately yourself, take the old chain to them and they will size it for you.
