Title: Rotorvator Identification
Post by: Lee Mallett on October 09, 2021, 20:47
Hi,
I’m new here. I have an old rotorvator that was my late grandfather’s and I’d love to restore it for sentimental purposes. He taught me so much and really looked after this machine so it only seems right to get the old girl working again.
Could anybody tell me the make / model please?

Welcome to the forums, Lee.  I’ve no idea about rotavators but she looks a beauty.

We have a few good engineers here who may be able to help you.

I think it is a Mountfield M1 The way the handles adjust is a bit odd, but it could be an early version.

Hello as R Tallerntine says it looks like a Mountfieldthey made one with a reverse that one wasnt made long ,they also made one that the engine and handles could be lifted off and fitted to a 18 inch rotary mower, are the rotas directly fitted to the engine or belt driven ,,Qualcast briefly made one the same style    jezza
