Title: Howard rotavator 400

Please does anyone know the correct procedure to start a Howard 400 rotavator with a Jap engine.
It has a small tap on the air intake?

Turn petrol tap on under tanks, set choke, turn handle

Mine has electronic ignition (on/off switch on handlebars) but I dont know if others do

I have never touched that small tap on the air intake that you speak of. I think somebody once said that if you were having trouble restarting then you open that tap (I never really understood)
