Poor show fruit trees
« on: October 28, 2021, 07:40 »
My fruit trees didn't do well this year, the plum and apple in particular had hardly any fruit and it didn't mature.  Could it have been something I did or has there been something going round that did it.  The weather has been a bit funny this year aswell - could that be it?

It's been a pretty bad year weather wise. Last year resulted in a bumper year for many and trees would have been recovering to a degree anyway. Feed them well this in spring and hope for better weather.

Same here for my plum tree… the early frost got it and we had 6 plums from the whole tree. It’s too big to cover so at the mercy of the weather

My fruit trees and bushes  get food and compost in the autumn annually. Works for me.
