Hi,  I planted some tomato seeds in our potting shed about 3 weeks ago and no seedlings have appeared yet.  The potting shed is not cold but obviously not as warm as in the house which is where I normally start them off. 

I have now brought them in the house for extra warmth, are they likely to still germinate or will I need to start again ??

Tomatoes do like a bit of warmth to germinate and they are one of the only things I use a heated propagator for.  Even in a propagator they can take 2-3 weeks to show.

As Aunt Sally says Toms need heat, however yours should be OK now they are indoors, every year I get Toms self seeding in the greenhouse from fallen toms from the previous year.

i agree with aunt sally they need heat to germinate and also they need heat when you transplant them for a few days or they can stop growing . and they take time to recover
