[Ruby Red]

Please can someone give me names of really nice tasting strawberries. I once picked my own from a village near here and dont rememner what they were but they were the tastiest Id ever had. Not just a bland berry with a hint of aftertaste. Im hoping someone could advise me because a local garden centre have some lovely plants at the moment. thanks

the alpine strawberry ( also called wild, i think ) are second to none, in my opinion, for fresh and gorgeous taste. they are a small fruit but packed full of flavour

I think the ones that were once given to me were mallow....or something like that. They were gorgeous!

Oh I hope so as I am growing some of those this year if they germinate.
