They aren't grown much out here and our's range from tiny to blown, but with no decent ones in between. I tried frozen ones last year but ended up chucking them out, yeuch! Maybe a bit of cooler, wetter weather will help. We've got nice tops on them so not all lost.

Blooming slugs and caterpillars got ours but I have my suspicions as Mr Bee hates sprouts.

Sabotage? I wonder. ::)

Well done MC. Brussels certainly are one of those veg that many people struggle with.
After a few miserable attempts despite decent preparation, I thought I had to resort to F1 varieties to get decent crops. This year's Maximus F1 have been unbelievably good. Huge sprouts on plants  that were purposefully planted early and have been cropping every couple of days since August... only now are they beginning to show signs of coming to an end. Yet still, none of the sprouts are blowing at all. I've even managed to grow 4 half decent plants in my garden. Nowhere near the size sprouts on my plot, but the garden veg patch only gets half a day's sunshine.

Well done MC

I've already had a harvest as I decided to keep a close eye and start harvesting from the bottom as the leafs started to fall off and the lower sprouts started to blow this year. I anticipate a further harvest tomorrow and hopefully leave enough on the plants to harvest fresh for that special day that's coming that we are not allow to mention yet
